RPGTravel DM's Code of Conduct

We expect all Game Masters to conduct themselves as representatives of RPGTravel at all times while engaged with players, travelers, vendors, or any other connected individual in a professional capacity.

Specifically, as a contracted DM, you agree to the following:

DMs must conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to the enjoyment and safety of others at the event.

Avoid excessive use of intoxicants. Visibly intoxicated DMs will be subject to immediate contract termination and escorted from the venue.

Avoid excessively vulgar, sexual, or overly mature language and themes.

Dress in approved attire and avoid vulgar, sexual, or overly mature language themed clothing.

Maintain proper bodily hygiene at all times.

Comply with any PPE requirements of the venue or RPGT.

Follow the GMs lead, avoid arguing with the GM or other players over rules.

Allow players opportunities to speak and engage, avoid talking over others.

Focus on allowing players shared attention from the DM.

Discourage others from bullying, shaming, or otherwise intimidating other participants.

Avoid digital distractions while at the table. Personal conversations should not be conducted on digital devices while operating as a DM.

No tolerance is given for theft or aggressive behavior. These are grounds for immediate removal from the play area and the premises and forfeiture of the Contractor Agreement.

Aggressive behavior includes threats of or actual physical aggression, using racial, gender, or cultural slurs against another participant, and otherwise harassing other participants.

DMs who feel as though they are in an unsafe environment should notify the GM or other RPGT representative immediately.

DMs noticing disruptive behavior should make those responsible for the behavior aware of their actions.

DMs have the expectation to ask a disruptive player to correct their behavior or leave the table and speak with the Game Master.

RPGT reserves the right to remove disruptive or aggressive participants or Dungeon Masters from the play area or premises.
